Dynamic response of a two-story steel structure subjected to earthquake excitation by using deterministic and nondeterministic approaches

چکیده

Abstract An earthquake is a random phenomenon in its intensity and frequency content. Since the signal that contains band of frequencies, each has different energy. This means response buildings to earthquakes depends not only on but content as well. In this study, two approaches have been used: deterministic approach which time history analysis show how affects building response, nondeterministic vibration approach, clarify domain effect dominant frequencies earthquake. Both prototype 1:6 scaled model was used simulate two-story steel building. experiential part, shaking table El-Centro 1940 NS base excitation with intensities (0.05, 0.15, 0.32 g ). theoretical Abaqus software adopted numerical The results showed may be non-conservative approach.
